A wedding very, very close to my heart – my little brother and his soul mate Rosalie! So Rosalie and Karl’s wedding was the perfect rustic country affair, created with love, passion and the most amazing creativity! And of course, Ellky May was on hand to take care of the wedding makeup.
The Minimal Look.
Rosalie is a shepherdess/dog groomer/gardener (basically good at pretty much everything), so she’s very outdoorsy and not really into makeup, I’m sure she won’t mind me saying! Rosalie was looking for something fairly minimal and a look she would be comfortable with for the whole day. In a strange way, it was actually quite hard to get it right as we wanted to use enough make up to look good in photos, but she hated looking like she had make up on!
Makeup Run-down.
In the end we decided to go with the trusted Laura Mercier Primer with a Bobbi Brown cream foundation, which was applied exceptionally lightly. We opted for a soft pink blusher – a MAC Pink Swoon. We used some Urban Decay eye primer and went for a soft Pink NARS eyeshadow with a dark brown shade to define the lash lines. Rosalie wore some semi-permanent lashes which were AMAZING!! For the lips we wanted to complement the pink on the eyes and cheeks so we used a gorgeous soft vintage pink lippie by Mac. With her eyebrows defined and a little bit of bronzer we were good to go.
Rosalie my lovely new sister in law – you were a goosepimply-stunning bride! A very, very special day XXXXX
